GAP Bolsters Manufacturing Team With New Additions

We are delighted to announce the addition of two new key members of staff to our growing manufacturing operations.

Dave Sykes is our new Group Manufacturing Manager, who after a recent stint at Veka PLC in Burnley, brings a wealth of experience and skills gained from the Aerospace industry and additional high-quality manufacturing operations.

Dave will be taking over from departing Head of Manufacturing, Carl Grainger, who is set to retire later this year after an impressive period improving the all-round production side of the company, implementing better practices, improved lead times and more consistent high-quality products.

Our second new addition to GAP is Tony Fenwick, who joins us at an exciting time as our new Group Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager, building on an already impressive career in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and CI/Project management across multiple industries.

Tony’s role will also include supporting Dave in order to collaborate and foster the most efficient and proactive working practices for GAP in the short, medium and long term.

Commercial Director, Richard Lee is delighted with the two new recruits, believing both Dave and Tony will enjoy successful tenures at GAP, whilst helping contribute towards the overall continuous development of GAP:

“We’re pleased to have Dave and Tony join us here at GAP, who both bring multiple decades of manufacturing and operational excellence to, help us grow further and develop all associated GAP brands through our manufacturing and production practices.

“They were both selected for their clear visions which wholly aligned with what we are continuing to cultivate within GAP. Their roles will be crucial towards implementing successful new approaches to workplace procedures, maintaining our extensive range of accreditations and product improvements across the board.

“I want to place on record our huge thanks to Carl who will be departing us later this year to retire, however Dave and Tony, we wish you the very best of luck in your respective new roles.”
